Zeph Sivels
Zeph Sivels, a senior from Omaha Nebraska, ranked No. 12 in the country at 285 pounds, won the Open Division to lead the Warriors at the Conner Oppenheim Open. After an opening-round bye, he began his day with an 11-4 decision before pinning his opponent in the Quarterfinals. He added another fall in the semifinals, defeating No. 3-ranked Nicolas Rodriguez of Eastern Oregon in 9:00. In the championship match, Sivels secured the title with a 7-3 decision over No. 11 Austin Silva of Cumberlands (Ky.).
Quinty Rouschop
Quinty Rouschop, a senior from Vijlen Netherlands, swam well over the weekend as the Warriors hosted four other teams in the Dillon Family Aquatic Center for the three-day Warrior Invitational. Rouschop posted a personal best and was the top qualifier in the 100-yard breaststroke preliminaries with a time of 1:08.53. She went on to win the final in 1:08.70. She then became the top qualifier in the 200-yard breaststroke and won that final as well, with a time of 2:32.99.
