About Midland University Athletics

Midland University prides itself on three core values: Character, Community, and Excellence. As a Warrior, we hope all of our athletes embody these values not only on the field of play but also in the classroom and while serving our community.

Our athletic department has expanded significantly in recent years, with the addition of new sports and the renovation of facilities. Midland is home to 33 varsity sports, making it the largest athletic department in Nebraska.

In 2014, Midland invested nearly $1.6 million in the construction of a state-of-the-art artificial turf playing surface for football and soccer, and the installation of a weather-resistant track at Memorial Stadium, which was renamed Heedum Field after the project's major donor.

Alongside a rapidly growing student body, the university has enhanced opportunities for students to live, learn, and grow in a residential community. Since 2009, Midland has added 17 varsity sports, creating the state's largest athletic department with over 900 athletes. Midland sponsors a total of 33 varsity sports and multiple JV programs.
