Trio of Warriors Compete at Seminole Valley Stampede

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Midland University was in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Saturday as it took to the course at the Seminole Valley Stampede. The race marked the first 6k event of the season for the Warriors, who battled unseasonably warm temperatures in the mid-80s.

Nevaeh Sarabia led Midland with a 51st-place finish, clocking in at 24:34.8. Madison Bergstrom followed in 67th place with a time of 25:22.1, while Danika Leuenberger was close behind in 70th, finishing in 25:27.8.

Allison Ramsey of St. Francis won the individual title, crossing the line in 22:11.2. Lewis University captured the team title, placing all five of its runners in the top 20.

Up next, Midland will be at the Platte River Rumble in two weeks. The Warriors will get their first look at the course in Ashland, Nebraska which will serve as the site of the 2024 Great Plains Athletic Conference Championship.
