
Pair of Warriors Begin Season at Twilight Meet
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Midland University sent a pair of runners to the Augustana Twilight Meet on Friday night, kicking off its 2024 women's cross country season. Running under the lights at Yankton Trails in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Nevaeh Sarabia and Danika Leuenberger competed against a field of nearly 240 runners.
Sarabia opened her senior season with a time of 20:45.46 in the 5k race. Leuenberger began her collegiate career with a run of 21:51.18. The Warriors' duo placed 163rd and 201st, respectively.
Next up for Midland will be the Larry Young Invitational in Columbia, Missouri. The runners will get their first look at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course, which will serve as the host of the 2024 NAIA National Championship in November.
