Warriors Wrap Up Indoor Season at NAIA Championships

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Midland University concluded its indoor track and field season this weekend at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships, competing against the nation's best inside the Alachua County Sports Complex. The Warriors saw strong performances across multiple events, highlighted by a pair of top-10 finishes.

Kerrigan Myers led the way for Midland, finishing ninth in the pentathlon with 3,401 points, just missing All-America honors. She also placed 10th in the 60-meter hurdles, clocking in at 8.59 seconds.

In the field events, Hannah Newton cleared 1.65 meters to place 10th in the high jump, while Krista Hardy finished 21st at 1.60 meters, falling just short on a judge's decision. Maggie Heesch had a busy weekend, earning 12th place in the weight throw with a mark of 16.22 meters and finishing 16th in the shot put at 12.47 meters.

The Warriors will turn their focus to the outdoor campaign which gets under way in a few weeks. The first meet on the schedule is the Bethel Invite on March 22 in Wichita, Kansas.
