Warriors Host Tri-Dual Meet; Nemechek Sets School Record

FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University hosted Nebraska Wesleyan University and the University of Minnesota-Morris in a tri-dual meet Friday night at the Dillon Family Aquatic Center. Nebraska Wesleyan emerged victorious in both of its duals, defeating Minnesota-Morris 144-66 and edging out the Warriors 107-99.

One of the night's biggest highlights came from Mya Nemechek, who set a new Midland school record in the 100-yard freestyle with a winning time of 52.00. Nemechek also took first in the 200-yard freestyle, finishing in 1:57.76.

Quinty Rouschop claimed the top spot in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:44.84 and added a runner-up finish in the 500-yard freestyle, clocking in at 5:37.49. Payton Tull placed second in both the 50-yard freestyle (25.33) and the 100-yard backstroke (1:05.65). Rachel Sims earned a second-place finish in the 1-meter diving event with a score of 174.50, while Sophia Gurrieri finished as the runner-up in the 100-yard butterfly, posting a time of 1:04.06.

The Warriors capped off the meet with a second-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay, posting a time of 3:48.62.
