Warriors Place Third in Home Quad

FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University was back in action on Saturday as it hosted a quadrangular meet with the University of Nebraska-Omaha, the University of Nebraska-Kearney, and Rockhurst University. The Warriors were able to earn third place with a score of 437.1, behind Omaha and Rockhurst who scored 554 and 502.9 points, respectively. The University of Nebraska-Kearney finished in fourth place with a final score of 418.9

Individually, Midland had two first-place finishes, a second-place finish, and a third. Highlighting the meet for the Warriors was Mya Nemechek who earned a first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.35 seconds and a second-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 58.99 seconds.

Rachel Sims earned first place in the one-meter diving competition with a score of 227.3 while Payton Tull was the final medalist for the Warriors on the day as she earned third in the 50-yard freestyle, swimming a time of 26.11 seconds.

Up next, the Warriors will be back in action on Saturday, October 12 as it travels to Leavenworth, Kansas to compete in the USM Relay Challenge hosted by the University of Saint Mary.
