
Warriors Start Spring at Texas Invitational
DALLAS – Midland University resumed competition after the winter break at the Texas Invitational, held at Gentle Creek Golf Club. The Warriors had two golfers compete individually in the two-day, 36-hole event.
Jocelyn Kumm placed 22nd out of 26 golfers, shooting a +50 (194) over two rounds. In her opening round, she carded two birdies—on holes No. 2 and No. 16—before finishing at +24. She followed with a +26 in the final round to conclude the tournament at +50.
Close behind was Isabella Brown, who finished 24th with a +70 (214). Brown shot a +33 in the first round and a +37 in the second to round out the Warriors' efforts at the event.
Abby Donovan of Kansas Wesleyan claimed the individual title, shooting a +4 over two rounds, helping her team win the tournament by 30 strokes.
Midland will return to the course for the Crestview Spring Invitational on March 10-11 in Wichita, Kansas.
