Warriors Battle at Hoosier Classic

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Midland University participated in the 55th Hoosier Classic, competing against 66 teams at the Western Bowl this past weekend. Midland finished qualifying in 32nd place with a team pin-fall total of 8,102 through 15 baker games. The University of Pikeville was the top qualifying team rolling a 9,378.

Ashland Hoyt was the top Warrior bowler in qualifying. She finished 65th out of 410 competitors with a six-game average of 196.8. Victoria Cruz Cervantes averaged 194.8, good for 76th. Emily Ziegler finished 106th, with a 188.5 average. Samantha Creutz finished 193rd, averaging 165.0 per game. Jerika Koopmeiners averaged 161.8, good for 201st. Kinsey Miller of Baker University was the top individual performer, rolling a 231.3 average. Wichita State University won the bracket tournament championship.

The Warriors return home and begin preparing for their conference tournament which will be held at the end of the month. Midland will join other teams from its regional bowling conference at the Bowlero in Overland Park, Kansas on February 24-25.
