Warriors Place Sixth at Southern Stampede

JOPLIN, Mo. – Midland University took to the course at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course on Friday evening, competing in the Southern Stampede. Competing against other NAIA and NJCAA schools, the Warrior placed 6th as a team in the 8k race.

Jonathan Mahoney was the top finisher for Midland with a time of 27:22.47. He placed 4th, the highest finish of all NAIA runners.

The next highest runners for the Warriors were Lucas Hjortkjaer and Henri Stoeckermann. Hjortkjaer ran a time of 29:01.69 for 21st while Stoeckermann had a time of 29:06.00 to place 22nd.

Rounding out the Midland team were Felix Grace with a time of 30:43.36 and Andre Nunez with a time of 33:07.82.

Next up on the Warriors' schedule is the Wayne State Wildcat Classic. That race is set for Friday, September 22 in Wayne, Nebraska.
