
Atwater Named National Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced its men's indoor track and field athletes of the week for performances during the week of January 20-26. Robert Atwater of Midland University was named the NAIA Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week, while Netanel Dorothea of Madonna University earned track honors.
Atwater, a senior from Detroit, Michigan, won the high jump at the Concordia Classic last week while also earning runner-up finishes in the pole vault and triple jump. This season, he has met the NAIA "A" standard in the high jump, pole vault, and long jump. He currently leads the nation in the high jump at 2.12 meters and ranks second in the long jump (7.43m), third in the pole vault (4.85m), and first in the indoor heptathlon (5,278 points).
