Bio
Wiktor Perkowski was named head coach of the Midland University swimming and diving programs in July 2025. He brings nearly a decade of coaching experience and a lifelong passion for competitive swimming to the Warriors.
Prior to joining Midland, Perkowski served as the director of community health and recreation and head swim coach at Union Commonwealth University. There, he led both the men's and women’s programs and coached an athlete to qualify for the 2024 U.S. Open Swimming Championships. He also oversaw facility operations and community aquatics programming, further developing his strengths in leadership, relationship-building, and athlete development.
Before his time at Union, Perkowski was an assistant coach at Milligan University, where he was instrumental in developing sprint and mid-distance training plans, recruiting, and team logistics. He also spent time coaching at NC State’s RedWhite Swim Camps and running swim clinics for youth athletes.
A former NAIA student-athlete, Perkowski competed for five seasons and earned five All-American honors. He was also a three-time CoSIDA Academic All-America Team selection. He holds a master’s degree in athletic administration from Union Commonwealth, an MBA from Milligan University, and a bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing.
Perkowski’s coaching philosophy centers around high performance, accountability, and strong team culture. He aims to position Midland as a premier destination for talented swimmers across the region and build a program that excels both in the pool and in the classroom. Fluent in English and Polish, he holds certifications as a USA Swimming Coach, Lifeguard Instructor, and Certified Pool Operator.
