
Warriors Show Improvement at Home Triangular
FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University was back in the pool on Saturday as it hosted a triangular against the University of Nebraska-Omaha and Rockhurst University inside the Dillon Family Aquatic Center. The Warriors finished third in the team competition with 481.3 points earning five third-place finishes and a second-place result during the event. Omaha finished first with 545.3 while Rockhurst earned the second spot with 538 points.
Individually, Artur Arent placed second for the Warriors in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4.56.87, getting to the finish two seconds before his teammate Mohamed Saleh who earned third in the same event with a time of 4.58.49.
Midland had four other third-place finishes during the event as Oliver Kock earned third in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 57.87 seconds while Tichatonga Makaya earned third in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 54.9 seconds.
Martin Sener earned the team's other two third-place finishes as he placed third in both the 100-yard backstroke and the 200-yard backstroke with times of 53.54 seconds and 1.58 minutes respectively.
The Warriors will be back in action on Saturday, October 12 as they travel to Leavenworth, Kansas to compete in the USM Relay Challenge hosted by the University of Saint Mary.
