
Warriors Compete in Pair of Regional Tournaments
TOPEKA, Kan. – Midland University competed in two one-day tournaments over the weekend in Topeka, Kansas. The Warriors placed fifth on Saturday in the NAIA West Open No. 1 before finishing third on Sunday in the NAIA West Open No. 2.
On Saturday, Midland bowled five sets—25 total games—of team bowling, finishing with a total pinfall of 4,816 to place fifth in the NAIA West Open No. 1.
In the NAIA West Open No. 2, the Warriors competed in 25 Baker games, in which five bowlers took turns bowling each frame to complete a game. Midland recorded a game-high score of 288 and totaled 5,052 pins to secure third place on Sunday.
Midland will return to the lanes Feb. 8-9 in Fairview Heights, Illinois, for the McKendree Baker Challenge.
