
Warriors’ Season Come to an End in Third Round
JEFFERSONTOWN, Ky. – After earning a qualifying spot in last month's sectionals, Midland University took to the hardwood at Kingpin Lanes this week for the 2024 Intercollegiate Team Championship in Jeffersontown, Kentucky.
The Warriors were consistent during the two blocks of qualifying, tying for 8th after the first block of 12 games and then settling in at 9th after the final dozen games. Midland's high game during the two blocks on day one of the tournament came in game 16 with a score of 259. They averaged 200.25 for a total of 4806. Wrapping up their first day of competition, the Warriors fell to 8th-seeded Calumet College of St. Joseph, 4 to 1.
On Friday morning, Midland was back in action bright and early with a 7:45 a.m. start for Round 3. Going up against another group of Warriors from Webber International, Midland fell 4 to 2 in the elimination match. With 12 teams still alive after their final match, the Warriors officially ended the ITC tied for 13th out of 24 teams in the field.
This year's ITC team was comprised of Isiah Bautista, Tristan Forde, Jacob Frazier, Logan Gear, Addison Johnson, Brandon Ogden, Miles Peck, and Casey Upton.
