
Warriors Thrive at NAIA Weekend Tournaments
LAWRENCE, Kan. – Midland University showcased its skills at a pair of single-day NAIA events over the weekend, delivering noteworthy performances by individuals and as a team.
On Saturday, at the NAIA Weekend West #1, standout performances by Brandon Ogden and Jacob Frazier highlighted the Warriors' achievements. Ogden secured the top individual spot, impressively averaging 237.8, a solid ten pins higher than the runner-up. Frazier secured a commendable 7th place individually with an average of 218.2. As a team, the Warriors found themselves in second through qualifying. In the baker-style bracket play, they faced a tough challenge against Kansas Wesleyan, falling by a score of 2-1.
Sunday's competition at the NAIA Weekend West #2 saw Miles Peck leading the charge for the Warriors, finishing 3rd individually with an average of 200.7. Frazier continued his consistent performance, claiming the 13th spot with an average of 188.9. As a team, Midland demonstrated their prowess, once again securing the second-highest total during qualifying.
Looking ahead, the Midland is now gearing up for the Hoosier Classic in Indianapolis. The Tier 1 event will get underway on Saturday, February 10 at the Western Bowl.
