Bio

Cam Schuknecht was hired at Midland prior to the 2017-18 season. He brings with him nearly two decades of coaching experience, including 10 years in the GPAC.

Schuknecht and head coach Oliver Drake previously coached together at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire for one season, from 2003-2004. Prior to that Schuknecht spent one year as the assistant at Wartburg College and three years at the University of Saint Mary, including one season as the head coach.

Prior to Midland, Schuknecht most recently spent three seasons as the assistant coach at Luther College (NCAA DIII) and was the assistant coach at Nebraska Wesleyan University from 2004-06 before being promoted to head coach of the Prairie Wolves from 2006-2014.

While at Nebraska Wesleyan, Schuknecht coached two NAIA All-Americans and three Academic All-Americans.

A former player at Wartburg College, Schuknecht was a two-year captain on the basketball team while earning his undergraduate degree in physical education. Schuknecht went on to earn his Master's in exercise science from the University of Kansas in 2001.
