Warriors Open Home Schedule with Senior Day Loss to Baker

FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University hosted Baker in Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) action on Saturday afternoon at Heedum Field. Prior to the contest, the Warriors recognized their seniors ahead of the first of four home games this season. However, Baker spoiled the occasion with a 20-6 victory.

Baker quarterback Tara Llorente threw for a touchdown and ran for another to lead the Wildcats' offense. Running back Sanija Waller added to the scoring with a rushing touchdown and a successful conversion play.

Midland quarterback Angel Ioane Kaio connected with Allaya Livingston for the Warriors' lone touchdown. On defense, Olivia Dominguez-Millsop recorded two interceptions for Midland.

With the win, Baker improved to 3-3 and will play at Kansas Wesleyan on Wednesday, March 12.

Midland (1-3, 0-1 KCAC) will look to bounce back when it hosts the University of Saint Mary on Wednesday night at Heedum Field. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. in Fremont.
