Sibbald Named National Coach of the Year
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has named Erin Sibbald the 2025 NAIA Competitive Dance National Coach of the Year. Sibbald earns the honor for the second consecutive season after also receiving the award in 2024.
Under her leadership, Midland University claimed its third Red Banner in program history, the second-most all-time in NAIA dance championship history. Sibbald coached six student-athletes to All-America honors this season, including four first-team selections—doubling the team's total from the previous year. Since taking over the program in 2022-23, she has coached 12 of the Warriors' 27 all-time All-Americans.
Midland's final score of 92.24 at the 2025 championship was the fourth-highest in event history and the highest-ever mark for the program in its nine national appearances.
