NAIA Dance Championship Preview

YPSILANTI, Mich. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) will host the 2024 Competitive Dance National Championship this weekend in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Midland University will participate in the annual event for the ninth straight season. Preliminary rounds will take place on Friday, March 28, with finals the following day inside the George Gervin GameAbove Center.

The dance prelims are scheduled to start a 3:00 p.m. (CT) Warriors are scheduled to perform ninth on the opening day, at approximately 4:20 p.m. (CT). The schedule for finals will be based on preliminary scores, which also count as 25% of the overall score.

Finals for the dance competition will get underway at 9:00 a.m. (CT) on Saturday, March 29 with the awards ceremony scheduled for 11:20 a.m. (CT).

Midland is making its ninth appearance at the national championship and is looking for a third Red Banner. The Warriors earned their way into the championship by winning this season's GPAC Championship, which also served as the NAIA Qualifier. This season the Warriors have won each of their five competitions, including the conference championship.
