
Warriors Dominate Northwestern Invite
ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Midland University traveled to Orange City, Iowa, for the two-day Northwestern College Invite, where the Warriors secured two first-place finishes and claimed the top spot in the overall standings.
Competing against nine teams on both days, the Warriors impressed the judges on Day 1 with a score of 91.23, finishing 3.4 points ahead of second-place Viterbo. Grand View followed in third with a score of 86.9.
On Day 2, Midland continued its strong performance, earning first place with a score of 91.03. Viterbo took second with 88.40, while Grand View finished third with 86.37.
With a combined score of 182.26, Midland secured first place in the overall standings.
"We had a great Valentine's Day weekend in Orange City," commented head coach Erin Sibbald. "The team was excited to get back into the competitive zone after a couple of weeks off and hours of practice making some big choreography edits, changing formations around, and fine-tuning details. We look forward to applying the feedback we received so we can continue to push for some growth in our scores at our next competition."
The Warriors will take a week off before heading to Sioux Center, Iowa, for the Dordt Invitational on Feb. 22.
