I was a lot of our younger shooters who were ready to make a statement and show us what they could do. Although we ended up fourth overall, the ten we had traveling showed a lot of promise and potential going into the next shoot and beyond."

Viktors Clay Clash

A majority of the Warrior roster competed in Waukee, Iowa, finishing fifth out of eight teams, with an HOA team score of 1539. William Penn University took first at 1669. Midland's Samuel Hadwick finished eleventh at 317 in the Male HOA standings. Tanner Muff of William Penn was the top individual at 334. In female HOA, Remini Huguenot finished sixth at 302. Midland assistant coach Drew Cropper commented on the Warrior performance. "We battled with a smaller group of shooters against not only less than ideal weather conditions but with pretty stiff competition as well. Very proud to say we won second place skeet team with the help from a personal best of 98 from Kassy Gonzalez as well as a personal best of 94 from Jesse Grothendick. These are very promising scores and I'm looking forward to seeing the potential these shooters possess and unleash in the upcoming Bobcat Invitational down in Lincoln in a few weeks."

Midland will enjoy a few weeks off from competition before it resumes action at the Bobcat Invitational on October 26-27, in Lincoln, Nebraska.
