Warriors Finish Runner-Up at Conference Championship
CRETE, Neb. – Midland University looked to defend its conference title on Saturday as it competed in the 2024 Great Athletic Plains Conference (GPAC) Competitive Dance Championship which also served as the NAIA Northwest Qualifier. After two rounds of performances, the Warriors came up just shy of winning their seventh-straight GPAC banner, finishing in second place.
The Warriors had an overall score of 88.79 while Northwestern College won the GPAC Championship with a high score of 92.67. Hastings rounded out the top three with a score of 81.14.
Midland had an opening round score of 88.47 and saw an improvement in the finals with an 88.90.
Rounding out the standings and scores were Dordt (80.82), Concordia (80.73), Doane (80.47), Morningside (78.71), and Mount Marty (55.61).
Midland will now await the release of the at-large bids for the 2024 NAIA National Championship. They will be looking to make their sixth trip to the championship event since 2018. The NAIA national office will release the complete list of 15 schools on Monday, March 18.
