Warriors Earn Split at Concordia Duals
SEWARD, Neb. – Midland University made the short trip to Seward, Nebraska to compete in the Concordia Day of Duals on Saturday afternoon. The Warriors split on the day, winning their head-to-head matchup over MidAmerica Nazarene University and then coming up short to Oklahoma City University. In the combined scoring, Midland had the top mark as it edged out OCU and Northwestern College.
In the first round of duals, Midland University faced off against MidAmerica Nazarene. The Warriors earned high honors from the judges with a score of 92.98 compared to the Pioneers' 82.43.
In the second round of duals, Midland faced off against Oklahoma City. The Stars won the dual with a high score of 94.5, surpassing the Warriors' score of 92.18.
Claiming the top spot in the overall team totals for the day in cheer, Midland achieved a combined score of 185.16. Following closely were Oklahoma City with an overall score of 181.80 and Northwestern with a combined score of 167.16.
Next Up, Midland will travel to Crete, Nebraska to compete against Doane in a dual. The event will take place on Wednesday, February 21.
