
MCH Releases All-League Teams and Honors
OKLAHOMA CITY – With the Midwest College Hockey (MCH) regular season complete and the MCH Tournament set to begin this week, the league has announced its end-of-season awards for the 2024-25 season. Three Midland University players earned all-league honors.
Mathew Kochanowski, a sophomore from Brentwood, Tennessee, was named to the All-MCH Second Team. Tommy Babb and Ethan Brown were both selected to the MCH All-Rookie Team. Babb is a freshman from Andover, Minnesota, while Brown is a freshman from Edmonton, Alberta.
Wyatt Waselenchuk of Minot State University was named MCH Coach of the Year, while Joey Moffatt, also of Minot State, was selected as MCH Most Valuable Player. Joe Gronholz of the University of Mary was named MCH Rookie of the Year, and Mike Sliwinski of Illinois State University received the MCH Sportsmanship Award. The MCH All-League honors were voted on by the head coaches.
Midland will compete in the 2025 MCH Tournament alongside other conference teams. The tournament will take place Feb. 21-23 in Bloomfield, Illinois.
