Warriors of the Week
Callie Maguire
Callie Maguire, a senior from Minnedosa Manitoba, played a pivotal role in securing two Midland victories in the Warriors' opening series against Jamestown. In the first game, in which Midland won 6-0, Maguire scored the opening goal before scoring again in the second period. In the Warriors' 5-1 victory on Friday, she assisted the first two goals before scoring and assisting goals in the second, bringing her final tally for the weekend to three goals and three assists to start the season.
Nacho Salmeron
Nacho Salmeron, a sophomore from Murcia Spain, led the Warriors' attack in their dominant 6-1 victory over (RV) Columbia. Salmeron was able to score two goals in the first half before completing his hat-trick in the 63rd minute, giving Midland a 5-0 advantage at the time. Overall, he scored his three goals on six shots, with all six of those shots being on goal.
