Bio

Amy Gall Wattier, ’94, was a standout in Volleyball and Track and Field at Midland. On the volleyball court, Amy averaged 4.4 set assists per game and 1.93 digs per game for her career, playing in a total of 80 games. Amy excelled in both Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field from 1992-1994. As a member of the Midland Indoor team, Amy set school records for the 200-meter run, the 1600-meter relay (a record that still stands), and the Pentathlon. She earned All-Conference honors in the 60-yard run, 300-yard run, triple jump, long jump, 60-yard hurdles, and mile relay. In 1994, Amy earned NAIA All-American honors for Indoor Track and Field in the Pentathlon and the Two Mile Relay. As a member of the Midland Outdoor team, Amy set the school record in the Heptathlon, a record that still stands. Amy finished 3rd at the Drake Relays in the Heptathlon in ’94 and she scored 52.5 points by herself at the Buena Vista Invitational in ’94. She earned All-Conference honors in the Shot Put, Javelin, Triple Jump, High Jump, 100-meter run, 200-meter run, 400-meter run, 400-meter relay, and 1600-meter relay. Amy was named Outstanding Woman Athlete at Midland in ’94. Amy graduated from Midland in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Math/Computer Science. She currently teaches and coaches at Twin River Public School in Genoa, NE. Amy and her husband, Shawn, live in Silver Creek, NE with their four children. Amy Gall Wattier is inducted into the Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame for her outstanding athletic accomplishments.
