Bio

The emergence of Midland College as a women's small college basketball power coincides with the playing years of Eileen Troy. She led Midland into the forefront of women's basketball in the mid-1970s being named the team's most valuable player in 1974, 1975, and 1976. The 1975 team finished 6th nationally in the AIAW Small College Tourney. In 1976, she helped earn the first-place title in the Canadian Invitational. Midland's first member of the 1000 Point Club, she is the second-leading scorer in college history and held records for most points in one game and one season. She set records for season and career scoring averages. An all-around scholar-athlete, she lettered for four years in softball and volleyball and was named most valuable volleyball player in 1975. She was a conference medalist in tennis. Throughout her four-year sports career, she earned a 3.99-grade point average and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Her brilliance as a scholar, campus leader, and athlete has qualified her for a distinguished professional career as a coach and educator.
