Bio

Joe Soucie, '84, participated in football from 1980-83 at Midland. As an offensive lineman for Head Coach Don Watchorn, Soucie was a key component during his career on the offensive line, powering MLC to one of the best-rushing offenses in the country each year. From 1980-83, the MLC rushing attack averaged 318.4 yards per game, amassing 11,463 total rushing yards. The Warriors were 21-15 during that same time period. In 1982, and 1983, Soucie earned All-Conference, All-District, and All-Nebraska honors. In addition, Soucie earned NAIA All-America honors at the conclusion of the 1983 season. In '83, the Warrior rushing offense set a school record that still stands, rushing for 3,435 yards, an average of 381.7 yards per game, with Soucie as the anchor. He was a finalist for the Petrow Award in 1984. Soucie is the Public Works Director for the City of LaVista, NE. Joe Soucie is inducted into the Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame for his outstanding athletic achievements.
