Bio
Dale Sarratt, '51, participated in basketball from 1947-51 at Midland, earning four letters. He earned Honorable Mention All-Conference honors in 1950 and 2nd Team All-Conference honors in 1951, leading MLC in scoring both seasons. At the conclusion of the 1951 season, Sarratt had established a new individual scoring record with 397 points. He also set a school record for free throws in a season and scoring average in a season (17.3 points per game). He was named the Petrow Award winner in 1951, recognizing his accomplishments as the top male athlete at MLC from '47-'51. Dale graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1954. He served as an Optometrist in the Air Force from 1954-57 and 1958-61 before going into private practice in Tuscon, AZ, and Green Valley, AZ, in 1962. Dale Sarratt is inducted into the Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame for his outstanding athletic achievements.
