Bio

Paul Ronhovde, '87, was a standout in track and field and football at Midland. In track and field, Paul was a two-time indoor conference champion in the pole vault and a two-time outdoor conference champion in the pole vault. He established school records in the pole vault both indoor (15'7") and outdoor (16'0"). In 1986, Paul earned NAIA All-America honors in the pole vault (outdoor) with a 5th-place finish. He also earned NAIA All-America honors in the pole vault (indoor) in 1987 with a 4th place finish. He finished in 7th place in the pole vault at the 1987 national outdoor championship. Paul holds a career-best in the javelin with a mark of 189'2". In football, Paul was a defensive back and placekicker and he returned punts and kick-offs. His 49-yard field goal established a school record. In 1985, Paul also was a member of the MLC golf team. He was selected for the Petrow Award in 1987. Paul is a recruiter for Berthel Fisher and Company in Cedar Rapids, IA. Paul D. Ronhovde is inducted into the Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame for his outstanding athletic accomplishments.
