Bio

Edith Hessman Ronhovde, ’82, played an integral role in the cross country and indoor and outdoor track teams while at Midland.  In cross country, Edie was named NAIA All-American one year, NAIA All-District two years, and NIAC All-Conference two years.  In addition, she was a member of cross country teams which received many NAIA and NAIC Championship honors.  In indoor track, she was a NIAC Champion for four years and an NAIA All-American for two years.  For two years, the indoor track team won the honor of being NIAC Team Champions.  In outdoor track, Edie was NAIA National Champion for one year, State AIAW Champion for one year, NAIA District XI Champion for two years, NIAC Champion for four years, and NAIA All-American for two years.  For four years, the outdoor track team won the title of NAIC Team Champion.  To this day, Edie holds the school indoor track record in the 400-meter relay and outdoor track records in the 1600-meter relay and 3200-meter relay.  She is a current member and past president of the Midland Booster Club.  Edie also coached track at Midland during the 1992-93 season.  She is inducted into the Midland Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame for her outstanding athletic achievements and dedication to the Warrior athletic programs.
