Bio

Eric Risinger, '09, was a standout in Track & Field at Midland from 2006-2009. As a hurdler, Eric finished his career as a two-time NAIA All-American in the 60-meter hurdles at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships. In 2008, Risinger finished in 6th place with a time of 8.27, and in 2009, he finished in 4th place with a time of 8.16. At the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Risinger qualified for the semifinals in the 110-meter hurdles in 2008 and 2009. At the GPAC Track and Field Championships, Eric set a new meet record in 2008 and 2009 at the Indoor Championships in the 60-meter hurdles, recording an 8.18 in 2008, and an 8.05 in 2009. He finished as the 60-meter champion both years at the GPAC Championship Meet. In the GPAC Outdoor Championships, Risinger competed in the 110-meter hurdles and finished in 6th place (14.98) in 2007, 1st place (14.58) in 2008, and 3rd place (14.80) in 2009. Eric earned his Bachelor of Science from Midland in 2009 and then his Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy in 2010. He is currently a registered respiratory therapist at the Northern Colorado Rehabilitation and Long-Term Acute Care Hospital. Eric and his wife, Carin, live in Windsor, CO and they have two children: Tara and Gabriel. Eric Risinger is inducted into the Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame for his outstanding athletic accomplishments.
