Bio
Kelly Sladek Rischling, '10, was a standout in Softball at Midland from 2007 through 2010. As a pitcher, Kelly earned GPAC 2nd Team All-Conference honors in 2008 and GPAC 1st Team All-Conference honors in 2007, 2009, and 2010. IN 2009, Kelly was named GPAC Pitcher of the Year and she earned NAIA Honorable Mention All-America honors. At the conclusion of the '09 season, she posted a 19-3 overall record with 4 saves. She recorded 8 shutouts, 8.1 strikeouts per game, and opponents hit .188 when Kelly was in the pitcher's circle. Kelly was named GPAC Pitcher of the Week three times in 2009 and was named NAIA Pitcher of the Week two times during her career (2007 and 2009). In 2010, Kelly helped guide Midland to the NAIA National Championship Tournament for only the second time in school history. She holds the current record at Midland for the lowest ERA in a season (1.23), she ranks 2nd all-time at Midland in wins for a career (60), and she is the all-time strikeout leader (705). For her career, Kelly posted an overall record of 60-31, she pitched 616 innings, and her career ERA was 2.23. She was named Outstanding Woman Athlete at Midland in 2010. Kelly earned her Bachelor's Degree from Midland in K-12 Physical Education in 2010. She taught physical education for Fremont Public Schools from 2010-2013 and she then was an exercise specialist at York (NE) General Hospital from 2013-2020. Originally from Cordova, Nebraska, Kelly and her husband, Mitch, live in Milligan, Nebraska, and they have three children: Kash, Kyah, and Maelynn. Kelly Sladek Rischling is inducted into the Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame for her outstanding athletic accomplishments.
