Bio
Mary Beaumont Rinn, '90, was a standout in cross country and track at Midland. Mary earned NAIA All-America honors in cross country in 1989, NAIA All-America honors in indoor track in 1988, 1989, and 1990, and NAIA All-America honors in Outdoor Track in 1990. In 1989, Mary helped guide Midland to the NAIA National Indoor Track and Field Championship, participating in the 4 x 800 relay team (1st place), the Distance Medley relay team (1st place), and individually in the 800-meter run (3rd place). She established a total of three school records in indoor track (1000-meter run, 2-mile relay, and Distance Medley Relay) and one school record in Outdoor Track (Distance Medley Relay). She was an All-District Champion in indoor track from 1987-90, and she was an All-District Champion in outdoor track in 1990. Mary received All-District honors and All-Conference honors a total of 18 times in cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track. In addition, Mary earned NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors in cross country (1988, 1989) and in track (1989, 1990). Mary graduated from Midland in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems. Mary and her husband, Andy, live in Des Moines, Iowa, with their four children. Mary Beaumont Rinn is inducted into the Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame for her outstanding athletic achievements.
