Bio

The 1925 "Midland Warrior" described Arthur Pinkall as a "long, lean, lanky lad from Kansas with a wallop in his hands, lots of fight and willingness to work." He takes his place in the Hall of Fame off a team that outscored its competition 276 to 32. A man of faith and scholarship, he entered the Lutheran ministry, giving a lifetime of service to the Church including 35 years at St. Luke's Church, Omaha. Always a Midland friend, Arthur Pinkall served on the College Board of Trustees for 20 years. A grateful college bestowed upon him an Honorary Doctor of Divinity in 1951. His love for Midland prompted a second and third generation of his family to attend college. Each of his three children, Joseph, Ruth, and David, graduated from Midland and entered the education profession. The Pinkall name and influence span a half-century of Midland history.
