Bio
Karen Moore Peppmuller, '87, lettered four years in basketball during her career at Midland Lutheran College. She played in 109 games, averaged 9.6 points per game, and reached the 1000 Point Club in 1987 with 1042 total points, 21st on the all-time scoring chart. She was selected team captain in 1986 and 1987. She earned Honorable Mention All-Conference honors in 1985 and First Team All-Conference honors in 1986. In addition, she earned First Team All-District honors and First Team All-State honors (Omaha Wolrd-Herald) in 1986. At the national level, she earned NAIA Scholar All-America honors in 1986 and 1987. She received the A.D. Duer Scholarship Award in 1986, the NAIA's top award for junior student-athletes. Her career highlight was playing in the national tournament in 1985 and advancing to the Final Four. She is inducted into the Midland Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame for her outstanding athletic accomplishments.
