Esteemed humanitarian, honored coach, and basketball legend of the late 1920s, Paul Nordstrom, all-conference in football and basketball for three years, set a record for most points scored in a single basketball game (39) and for the longest completed pass in football (99 yards). Navy veteran of World War II and noted high school mentor in basketball and baseball, he served as physical rehabilitation coordinator for Veteran's Service in South Dakota for 30 years. Laurels included being noted as the most versatile athlete in Nebraska (1927-1930).
