Bio

Henry Nissen, '49, earned four varsity letters in football, basketball, and track at Midland Lutheran College. His professional career in Nebraska and Iowa high schools included responsibilities as athletic director and varsity coach in football, basketball, and track. He was an athletic official for 35 years in football and basketball and continues to be active as a track starter. He worked the state football playoffs for 24 consecutive years and the state basketball playoffs for 16 years. Henry states that athletics influenced his life more than anything else. He is inducted into the Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame in recognition of his successful career in athletics.
