Chuck Micek, '78, participated in football for four years, baseball for two years, and track for one year at MLC. On the football field, Micek excelled at his cornerback position during his four-year football career. He was a two-time All-Conference and All-State selection, as well as a two-time Lutheran All-American. In 1976, Micek recorded four interceptions in one game, 9 interceptions for the season, and he had a 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. His 21 career interceptions still stand as the MLC all-time record. In 1977, Micek was voted Team MVP by his teammates. From 1974-77, Micek helped lead the Warriors to a 35-6 overall record. He is currently co-owner of Town and Country Insurance Agency in Pierce, NE. Micek is inducted into the Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame for his outstanding athletic accomplishments.
