Bio

David Meyer, ’76, an outstanding student-athlete, participated and excelled in both football and track while at Midland.  He was a member of the undefeated 1974 Warrior football team and qualified for national competition in the shot put during his junior and senior years.  He presently holds the school records in both the shot put and discus throws.  David received many athletic honors while he was a student.  He was selected to be a member of the NAIA All-American Team and the Little All-American Team.  He was also chosen as the Petrow Award recipient in 1975.  David’s accomplishments are even more extraordinary when viewed in light of the fact that he was a husband and father as well as a student and athlete while he was attending Midland.  He is inducted into the Midland Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame in recognition of his tremendous accomplishments on the Warrior playing field.
