Bio
Rich McGill is recognized for 30 years of dedicated service to Midland. Coach McGill retired in 2011 as the Head Men's Basketball Coach for the Warriors. He coached a total of 853 games at Midland, guiding the Warriors to the NAIA National Championship Tournament in 1990 and again in 2000. During his tenure at Midland, Coach McGill coached four NAIA All-Americans - Scott Flynn ('90), Alan Pokorski ('97), Chris Allen ('98), and Adam Baker ('01). Throughout his 30-year career at Midland, Coach McGill developed special relationships with co-workers, opposing coaches, and, most importantly, his student-athletes. He considered it a privilege to work for Midland. Countless former players have gone on to very successful coaching careers throughout the United States, taking with them many life lessons learned under Coach McGill's guidance. Coach McGill began his coaching career at East Green Community School in Grand Junction, Iowa. Additional coaching stops include Wayne State College, Plattsmouth High School, Norfolk High School, and Platte Community College. He began his career at Midland in 1981. Coach McGill and his wife, Carol, continue to call Fremont home. Rich McGill is inducted into the Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame for his outstanding coaching accomplishments.
