Bio
Erin McCarthy, ’12, was a standout on the bowling team at Midland from 2010-2012. In 2011 and 2012, Erin helped guide the women’s team to the USBC Intercollegiate Team Championship (ITC). The 2012 team finished as runner-up at the USBC ITC, and in recognition of her efforts, Erin was named the most valuable performer. In 2015, Erin joined the Professional Women’s Bowling Association and she has won two tournaments since turning pro. One of those tournament wins, the U.S. Women’s Open, occurred in June 2022, a signature win for anyone on the professional tour. Erin earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Midland in 2012 in Biology and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Creighton University in 2013. She has worked for Methodist Hospital in Omaha since 2014 and is currently an acute care nurse, working primarily in the ICU and emergency departments. Erin and her fiancé, Megan, live in Elkhorn and Erin will be the stepmother of Atley and Zane. Erin McCarthy is inducted into the Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame for her outstanding athletic accomplishments.
