Bio

David Marreel, '77, participated in football at Midland Luthern College. In 1976, he set a school record of 33 quarterback sacks. David was honored as an All-Conference/All-State linebacker/defensive end and All-American defensive end. He played on the Midland football team which won the Conference Championship in 1974 and 1975 and tied for the title in 1976. He was the team captain in 1976. The 1974 team has been inducted into the Warrior Hall of Fame. David was the Petrow Award winner in 1977. As a high school coach, his football and basketball teams qualified for the state playoffs many times. He has been a volunteer for a variety of youth sports and enjoys working with young children. David states that athletics prepared him for all the challenges of life. He is inducted into the Midland Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame for his athletic achievements.
