Bio

Don Kluthe, '80, was a standout in football at Midland. A defensive lineman from 1976-79, Don earned Honorable Mention All-Conference honors in 1977 and 1978. In 1977, Kluthe returned an interception 72 yards for a touchdown against Concordia College, helping MLC to a homecoming victory. In 1979, Kluthe recorded a team-high 11 quarterback sacks for the 9-1 Warriors. His 11 quarterback sacks ranked near the top nationally. He was named All-Conference, All-District, and Honorable Mention All-America in '79. The '79 Warriors advanced to the quarterfinals of the NAIA Championship playoffs after going undefeated during the regular season. Don is the President of the Optimus Corporation in Omaha. Don Kluthe is inducted into the Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame for his outstanding athletic accomplishments.
