Bio

C.W. "Butch" Hug, began his Midland Lutheran College student career in 1962 and served as a student trainer for the Warrior football team in 1964. His collegiate career was interrupted by service in the U.S. Army. He earned a bachelor's degree in elementary and physical education at Midland in 1971. He was named head baseball coach in 1969 and guided the Warriors to the NIAC championship in 1972. He served as head trainer and equipment manager for the athletic department, director of intramurals, and head cross country coach from 1971-1976. Hug currently acts as director of events at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He coordinates the scheduling and event management of all athletic facilities. He was selected as a member of the Husker Track Officials Hall of Fame in 1997. Hug is inducted into the Midland Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame for his dedication to athletics and Midland Lutheran College.
