Bio

Yvonne Hollmann-Richardson, '90, participated in cross country and indoor and outdoor track while at Midland Lutheran College. She earned a total of 12 letters. In cross country, she was the No. 1 or No. 2 ranked MLC runner all four years and was the conference and district champion in 1987 and 1988. She earned All-America honors and NAIA Scholar All-America honors in 1988 and 1989. In indoor and outdoor track combined, Hollmann-Richardson was a conference and/or district champion 20 times and earned All-America honors 16 times. She won six NAIA National Championships during her MLC track career. In indoor track, she currently holds MLC records for 880 yards, 1500 meters, 3000 meters, mile run, two-mile run, two-mile relay, and the distance medley relay. In outdoor track, she currently holds MLC records for 1500 meters, 3000 meters, 5000 meters, 10,000 meters, and the distance medley relay. In 1989, Hollmann-Richardson led the MLC women's Indoor Track and Field team to the NAIA National Indoor Track and Field Team championship and was named Outstanding Female Performer at the national meet. She was also named Outstanding Woman Athlete at Midland in 1990. She is inducted into the Midland Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame for her outstanding athletic accomplishments.
