G.D. "Jerry" Harnisch, '63, has served Midland Lutheran College as its Faculty Athletic Representative (FAR) for over 20 years. In his role as FAR, Harnisch is the voting voice for MLC on all conference-related matters concerning athletics. In addition, he serves the Great Plains Athletic Conference, formerly the Nebraska-Iowa Athletic Conference, as the Athletic Eligibility Chairperson, a role he has held since 1996. Since the early 1970s, Harnisch volunteers his time as the official time-keeper for men's basketball games at MLC. As a faculty member at Midland since 1967, Harnisch serves as Associate Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science and as Director of Computer Services. He is inducted into the Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame for his dedicated service to the MLC Athletic Department.
