Bio
Cindy Ohme Gabriel, '96, was a standout in Volleyball at Midland from 1992-1995. As a freshman in 1992, Cindy earned NIAC Honorable Mention All-Conference honors, as well as All-District Honorable Mention honors. The accolades continued throughout her career as Cindy was named NIAC 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All-District in 1994 and 1995. In addition, she was named NAIA Honorable Mention All-America in 1994 and NAIA 3rd Team All-America in 1995. She helped guide Midland to an overall record of 28-15 in 1995. For her career, Cindy recorded 1,201 kills, 1,293 digs, 172 solo blocks, 318 assisted blocks, 68 service aces, and 26 set assists. She led Midland to an overall record of 88-71 during her career. She was named Outstanding Woman Athlete at Midland in 1996. Cindy earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Services in 1996. Currently, Cindy works for the Midland Area Agency on Aging in Grand Island as a Choices Coordinator. She has spent the majority of her professional career serving as an advocate for the senior population. Cindy and her husband, Alan, live in Ord and they have two sons: Ethan and Ryan. Cindy Ohme Gabriel is inducted into the Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame for her outstanding athletic accomplishments.
