The 1974 football team is Midland's winningest squad, achieving an 11-0 season record. Conference champions and winners of the Mineral Water Bowl, the team ranked 6th in the nation. The 1974 team represents the resurgence of Warrior football which has continued throughout the Don Watchorn coaching era. Team members won a number of conference and NAIA individual honors. More importantly, the players of 1974 have gone on to success in a wide variety of careers. These Warriors now serve society in business, education, law, medicine, and a wide range of human service vocations. Each member of the team, the coaching staff, and those who served as trainers and managers are praised for their achievements and for their special contributions to the athletic history of Midland College.
